Should I get Dish Network?

A man with a Middle Eastern accent who was very pushy told me I could get Dish Network for $19.99 a month for one year and $29.99 after that. There's got to be a catch. A movie channel was included, for free.

I decided I'm happy with rabbit ears. I spend almost nothing.

But one incentive, if it WAS part of the package, though I didn't ask, would have been Sirius. Now Sirius only has one channel I would really like (standards) but no easy listening, which XM has. And no 40s channel like XM. I might enjoy the soft hits station. Anyway, if I get another offer like that, should I take it?

Your best bet is to support a local dealer who sell Dish... Keep your money local... Right now there are a few good deals with Dish, but the package the Telemarketer was trying to sell you does not have the Sirius Music Channels... Feb 1st Dish will have their own Muzak Dish CD Music channels in that package, but they don't even come close to Sirius... America's top 120 soon to be America's Top 200 does have the Sirius music channels... If your are interested check out satelliteguys.us where they have a complete listing of packages. That will give you a better idea if you should make the jump... I post on there from time to time and they have over 63000 members so anything you want to know you will get an answer... Hope that helps ya... CC1

Anything that's only $19.99 probably doesn't have Sirius or anything else, but thanks.

I get all the TV I want with rabbit ears. From time to time cable airs something I wish I could see, but who has the time?

If you do decide to get Dish Network, be sure to get the DVR. This thing is the best invention since sliced bread.

And how much does THAT cost?
