Should NBC have shown "The Event" on 3-14?

In light of current events, should NBC not have aired a special "Dateline"?

Aliens who were responsible for the Chernobyl incident in 1986 decided to try again in San Diego now that those from their planet who were imprisoned for 66 years have been released, and those in that group who are willing to do so can help. Those that aren't willing to help have been massacred.

Actually, they didn't go through with their original plan. They knew the President would have the nuclear rods moved so there would not be another Chernobyl--a map in the briefing room showed what areas would be affected--and the aliens hijacked the shipment.

The nuclear rods somehow will play a role in bringing others from their planet to Earth to take over.

The events in Japan have NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the plot of The Event. As such, I see no problem with it being shown.

I do however have a problem with it being shown at 8/7 instead of a more approrpiate hour like 10/9 or at least 9/8 (The latter being its original timeslot & the same as 24 when it was on)

JMO though.....

Cheers :D

Well, as long as they didn't actually cause another Chernobyl, I suppose it was okay to go ahead.

Now on "Chuck" an hour earlier, Chuck disarmed a nuclear bomb which would have taken out a large part of Los Angeles--and they made it funny.

"The Event" was back at 9/8 last night.
