Should Radio Stations give time & temperature at night ?

But for those that did, KLBJ-FM didn't play any Hard Rock songs in the early morning... They let you decide if you wanted to "wake up" or not.
When America's Best Music was still on where I live, the man who owned the station was the morning DJ and his music was usually louder than that. I never understood that because music should be softer first thing in the morning. If his son filled in his playlist was even worse.

I question the need for constant time and temperature even in the good old days, and even more with 2 time zones to work with. When Ontario advanced and Michigan did not, and vice versa during the U.S.'s experiment with year round DST, CKLW would do one or both, "8:00 in Windsor, 7:00 in Detroit" and during the hour "it's 10:17, CKLW Daylight Time" which was the Windsor time. Nice they were taking care of the city and country they were licensed to, but it was probably confusing to Detroiters and other EDT listeners. We of course had, from Fort Wayne, "WOWO News Time 8:02, 9:02 in Ohio and Michigan."

I wouldn't want it to be so soft I fell back asleep.
