SHOULD STATIONS I.D. EACH AND EVERY SONG PLAYED ?

of course then you would need a real person on the air.that of course would be an improvment to automated voice-tracking.

You can do that for an AC station. We had one in the late 80s-early 90s that would announce the songs in order that they played.
 
Depending on your format, you wouldn't necessarily have to ID each song. If you play album rock, you could ID the newer or deeper stuff, and not the "Stairway to Hotel Freebird" stuff.
