Should WLOH listeners be nervous?

From a recent "Radio Factor" broadcast:

O'REILLY (audio clip): Orlando, Florida. Mike, go.

CALLER: Hey, Bill, I appreciate your taking my call.

O'REILLY: Sure.

CALLER: I like to listen to you during the day. I think Keith Olbermann's show --

O'REILLY: There you go, Mike is -- he's a gone guy. You know, we have his -- we have your phone numbers, by the way, so if you're listening, Mike, we have your phone number. And we're going to turn it over to Fox security, and you'll be getting a little visit.

E.D. HILL (co-host): Maybe Mike is from the mothership.

O'REILLY: No, maybe Mike's going to get in big trouble, because we're not gonna play around. When you call us, ladies and gentlemen, just so you know, we do have your phone number. And if you say anything untoward, obscene, or anything like that, Fox security then will contact your local authorities, and you will be held accountable. Fair?

With a plethora of conservative talkers out there, there must be a syndicated host who wouldn't risk jeopardizing a local station's longstanding community reputation like that.

Of course, Bill O'Reilly probably doesn't know the proper pronunciation of Lancaster, much less where it is.

Not sure I get your point here.

What you didn't hear in the clip is what the delay dumped out. What did this guy say to get thrown off the show.

It is quite common for shows to use caller ID to track listeners and callers.

O'Reilly's dump button gets used a lot more than most shows but that's the nature of his personality. He is a flashpoint kinda guy and tends to piss people off.

And FYI- We get 90-10 positive feedback on BOR. Yes, we track these things.

Also- O'Reilly can be heard on WCLT 1430 as well.

lol... well if Keith Olbermann is what got the guy dumped (which I doubt, like markbohach said, it was probably a delay that prevented anyone from hearing the real reason for the dump), I don't think Mike from Florida has ANYTHING to worry about from the "local authorities". That just makes O'Reilly look like a buffoon if you ask me. But the caller likely got dumped for something far more abrasive than the words, "Keith Olbermann"

WLOH is on solid ground. They attract loyal listeners from Lancaster who also listen for local news. Plus they have news veteran Anne Darling which adds to their listnership.

Anne Darling is great! I worked with her several times in Lancaster....(The Old Super Z 103)...then she worked for me for a couple special events like Elections when I was ND at WLOH. Glad to see that local people are keeping radio local.
