Shouldn't RXP be playing the new Green Day single?

I'm kind of surprised RXP hasn't been pumping the new Green Day single at all. I'm sure personal opinions about them vary on this board but GD is one of the biggest bands in rock music today. Seems strange to me...

Also, is it true that Z100 played Metallica's "Enter Sandman" this morning (Yes.com seems to think so)?

They played "Holiday" around 7:45 this morning, so there's definitely no reason they shouldn't be playing this. Although I should note that yes.com doesn't seem to be picking this song up as of now. I heard it on WDHA last night in the 9 PM hour and it doesn't show, and I also checked a few other stations that certainly must be playing it.

New Green Day song will sound great coming out of Bad Co and going into The Doors.

Which reminds me of a funny story. Driving around Sunday with my Dad in his car. He flips a little, but usually listens to Q104. They're in spots, so he goes to WRXP. Sadly, Allman Bros - Whipping Post
just started! Got to listen to most of it. And then they played Green Day - Holiday, the old man literally
listened to 10 seconds, mumbled something and shot straight back to Q.

"Not a Green Day fan?" I say. His reply... "NO."

Dad's 65.

If they were focused on one format they should...but who knows with them! That new GD is a good tune, btw.

Man, any day that does not include the Allman Brothers is a great day for me. Just shows how RXP is failing to reach any specific audience.

Wonder who Emmis is talking to about leasing RXP the way they did KMVN in Los Angeles? You know the thought must have crossed their minds.

99x in Atlanta, Leslie's old station came back on the air this morning via a translator broadcasting an HD2 feed. Good coverage in Metro Atlanta. Their firs song was the new Green Day song. Yet Leslie the alternative genius no longer feels like breaking new songs. Interesting.

well, as long as they play the new New York Dolls single, we'll let em slide...

What about the station you say everyone is listening to, Z100? They're not playing the new New York Dolls single, but they get to slide as well.

Before you get all snotty you might want to know what you're talking about.

WRXP IS playin "Know Your Enemy".

4 times as of Friday at midnight acording to BDS.

Also, no MediaBase detection of "Sandman" on Z100 yesterday during 6:00 AM hour like on yes.com. A bumper, maybe?

Yeah it is, thanks for asking.

Since you last posted at AAAradio.com did you get a personality transplant or something? Your comments here seem so civilized. You were always well informed, but what happened to the flame-throwing?

Not that I miss it. I vote for the new Stymie.

Actually I was just having a little contrarian fun over there, but things got a bit too serious and personal...never meant for it to get that way. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers...should we take this outside?

No need to go outside, I'm good.

Y'know, I can get a little opinionated myself...
