Shoutout to WHGM's 104.7 audio processing

Driving to and from Baltimore recently and I noticed just how crisp and wide the audio is on 104.7. It is easily one of the most well-processed stations on the air and shoutout to whoever the engineer is for actually bothering to add some good audio processing on the air. There are full market stations, in fact most of them, that sound like trash compared to this little 250 watt signal.

The biggest thing I enjoyed most was its wide audio stage. I think that sometimes is overlooked when doing audio processing. FM Stereo has its limits but you can still get a wide sound stage if done right.

Steve Clendenin owns WHGM and sister Carolina Gold (which just opened a new studio after the previous one was destroyed by fire) and Westmoreland Gold, and he's responsib;e for making them sound great.
