Show Prep Sites

So im doing the moring show for the rest of the week at Pixy 103 in the cape.

Does anyone know any GOOD show prep sites geared toward a rock audience? All the ones I've found are stupid, hacky, and incredibly unfunny. I mean Im not counting on just prep sites for my show by any means, but an actual good one would be kinda cool.

Ladies and gentlemen start arguing! haha actually this is one of the few boards that alot of people actually agree!

prep sites are good if you don't want to put any effort in...I know you're creative, I've listened to you a bunch of times....just sit around and pop out some ideas...setup a clock, and break down what you want to do in each segment, just don't do too much otherwise it won't come across as natural....i'm sure your pd down there can help out a bit....unless she's busy unfolding pieces of paper from a contest or something ;)

I check these sites before I do my '60s/'70s show for artist trivia for the day, artist birthdays, etc...

http://triplearadio.com/show_prep

Warning: I've been caught by errors on the "triplearadio" site above, incorrect dates, etc... so double-check info you get from there elsewhere online. Also, it hasn't been updated for a while, artists who have passed away within the past couple of years are not listed as having died!

www.fark.com is always a good place to find stupid kickers.

The important thing is to find your own angle.

Locate the "out"...and work backward.

You know how to do this. Have fun. Don't overthink it. And roll tape. You'll be surprised how much more comfortable you'll hear yourself on Thursday than you did on Monday.

thank you guys. And like I said, Im doing it from my own angle and I definitely dont rely on show prep sites.

Paul- Your right man, I already do notice a difference from monday. Its so much easiar to get better when you can do it consistantly everyday. going back to weekends after this week is gonna be...fun

And therein lies the real trick. To do it every day, you gotta get better...to get better, you gotta do it every day.

Thanks voicetracking!!!

No Voicetracking! Im here LIVE because I want that lonely depressed guy that was just a bad life choice removed from having a family and a nice life to be able to talk to someone on christmas.

Plus when I VT, i tend to listen to it over and over and try to fix the imperfections. I like the spontanius mistakes though, thats what makes live radio fun. plus I get paid by the hour, not the show ;)
