Showing episodes out of order

Does it bother anyone else when cable networks show episodes of their show out of order?

TLC shows reruns of Cake Boss Monday-Friday 7AM-9AM and the episodes are not shown in order.

The same when TLC and their sister network OWN show reruns of Undercover Boss in marathon blocks.

This morning TVLAND aired the first two episodes of The Golden Girls 5AM-6AM and then 6AM-8:24AM they showed the Final 4 episodes of the series (from Season 7). Then starting with the 8:24AM episode they aired Season 1 Episodes 3, 4, 5, and 6 before showing episodes 1 and 2 again 10:48AM-Noon.

It also bothers me when terrestrial networks are rerunning prime time shows with story arcs out of order. Exhibit A: CBS in recent weeks with Hawaii 5-0.

But if I'm going to binge watch an older show, I'll either Tivo the episodes (and watch them in order, no matter what order the channel showed them), or stream them on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon or some such. In addition to scrambling the viewing order, cable channels also butcher the shows to shove in more spots (and streaming gives you the entire original show).

I'm guessing that they are showing episodes which garnered high ratings when originally aired.
