Shows that were never as good as their first seasons

How about Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Look at the diiference between the first season comparied to the third and fourth seasons, WOW.
The first season was in b/w and season's 2, 3, and 4 were in Color. The first season stories were mostly about Cold War themes, there a few science fiction episodes, most stories dealt with believalbe people, and there was even a Christmas episode. There was a different CPO in the first season. Henery Kulky played Chief Culey Jones, and near the end of the first seaon, Kulky died of a heart attack while studying a script. He was replaced by Terry Becker as Chief Sharkey. The second season the show started to move more toward complete science fiction epiodes. Then in the third and fourth seasons is when the show had gone bad. Dealing with sea monsters, aliens, and other colorful ceatures, very similiar to Lost In Space. By the end of Voyage's fourth season, the show had seen it's lowest ratings, but ABC was going to renew the show for a fifth season. Then Irwin Allen talked then out of it, so ABC would pick up a new show he had jsut created - Land of the Giants.
