Showtime For Jim Rome

No, no NO NO.......

Hours and hours on my dish of The Dan Patrick Show.
Hours and hours and hours more of Nick and Arte....

Make it stop!!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!

Jim Rome - isn't that the guy whose big career break came from getting knocked on his butt by a quarterback he'd just called "Chris"?

Amazing what some can do with so little.

@Freddy: Unlike Dan Patrick and Nick and Artie, Rome's Showtime program (just like his daily CBS Sports Network show) isn't a flat-out simulcast of his radio show.

I don't understand the point of this show at all. If he has a show on CBS Sports already, why does he need one on Showtime also? It's not like he's going to start dropping f-bombs into his commentary, and that's the only reason I could see him having a Showtime show.

Rome on CBS Sports Network is apparently where you'll get his 'rackable' takes on daily sports topics. The Showtime show will apparently be interview heavy, and won't just feature athletes. I've said it before: The everlasting notoriety of the Chris Everett/ESPN2 stunt hurts the reality of Rome being a pretty good interviewer.

I promise you that wasn't on purpose--I guess that speaks to how surreal that situation was.

I deserve to have my interview table and my computer tossed!
