Longtime SOUTH FLORIDA radio host SID ROSENBERG has been let go from PALM BEACH BROADCASTERS Sports WMEN-A (640 SPORTS)/WEST PALM BEACH, FL, according to several sources.
The longtime NEW YORK GIANTS fan and former HOWARD STERN and DON IMUS colleague was first hired by WMEN in 2012.
The station's website has already removed ROSENBERG's name, which lists FOX SPORTS RADIO's "Daybreak with ANDY FURMAN and MIKE NORTH" in the morning slot.
Several TWITTER feeds seem to indicate ROSENBERG has his next position already lined up. The veteran sports reporter has previously worked at WESTWOOD ONE, WNEW/NEW YORK (as host of "The Sports Guys"), WFAN/NEW YORK, WINS-A/NEW YORK, WAXY/SOUTH MIAMI and WQAM/MIAMI.

Now maybe I can hear real sports talk in the morning instead of what passes as sports talk right now in South Florida. Sid would bring in many New York Centric guests and speak about other things than sports. WQAM's Joe Rose show tends to always turn back to the host and others' sexual conquests. Jeff Deforrest's show focuses a lot on the gambling side of sports and his use of a boxing ring announcer's "The time...." has gotten very annoying. Finally, the Zas and Joy Show with Romberg is more of a Morning Zoo type show I am used to hearing on Pop Radio stations. With Dan LeBatard taking over the 9:00 hour it just continues with more senseless banter.

I know that this show is not local, but I would rather hear more sports talk and analysis from a national perspective than what is above.
 
Anyone heard that co-host of Jeff Deforrest? He sounds like a cartoon character. Definitely should not be on the radio. From the looks of it few people listen to their show because they have some videos uploaded to youtube and they've count less than 10 views each.
