Sid Salter

The long-time Clarion-Ledger columnist is leaving the paper for a journalist in residence position at Mississippi State. He's also the afternoon host on SuperTalk Mississippi. Any word on if he's leaving SuperTalk and if he is, who might take his place?

Salter is giving up his radio gig, too. He will continue his syndicated column; his wife has been named editor of the Starkville Daily News. No word yet on who gets his SuperTalk time slot. I believe Sid has another week of shows before his departure.
