Sig to leave Rockin' Country?

Is this true? Did they really announce this on-air this AM?
If so, I wish him the best. He is a true pro and one of the coolest dudes I have ever worked with in radio.

Yes, it is true. They announced it this morning during their "news that matters...stuff you should know" segment. He said that he has taken a position with Rehage Entertainment to start his career in concert promotion. The last day for the MTW will be tomorrow.
Vydra will move to mid days and Tank will still be producer of a yet to be announced morning show.

I wish they would "Tank" rockin country.

Before 104.1 went rock, I'd agree with you but most people want the end back and Would it survive now..especially with Sig gone?

Sig's last date is Jan 31st... Same last day as his "red" gig supposedly

But I will say like Marconi, wish him the best because he did a damn good job while at it...

I didn't suggest they should go back to new rock. I think it would be a waste. Honestly, I'm not sure what would work on 106.7 Sig deserves lots of hats off. He did an EXCELLENT job! I would suggest CHR as B could use some competition, but they would likely lose due to inferior signal in town. IMHO, classic country may work.

if they went new rock again, im not sure it would work. all the former jocks that made the station are all leaving or already gone. sad but true.
and i wouldnt mind if they decided to flip 1067 to chr to compete with b97. that would actually be nice, since i miss listening to chr and i just cant listen to b97 anymore. my friends say the same thing. too many lack-luster, winey people on that station with a crappy 12 song music base and wimpy presentation...... blah ::) imo.....the afternoon party swirl is the worst on that station.... what is that supposed to be?? ???

well on another note, ive noticed diva 923 getting better and better as the weeks go by. theyre adding more and more newer music, in addition to more older music that hasnt had airplay in this city in years! the station has a good setup for long term listening.

Maybe he's getting programming insight from his main squeeze from down the street?
