Buyer is Iglesia Cristiana Restauracion y Vida.
Once approved, this will leave KGBC on the island as a standalone for the doctor in his home market. I believe this will mark just the third owner of the station in its 75 year history.

The sale includes K235CS, the 94.9 translator. For $2M? They overpaid. Ridiculously high price.

I strongly suspect KGBC will soon also be sold, likely as part of a bigger transaction involving other stations in the market.

Yes and no they have been paying for the station for the last 8 years . He wanted 3.5 for it .These numbers are not really what he will get for it when all it set and done.

Technically, the transmitter site is on Pellican island. The land would be worth a lot more if it was on Galveston island.

If they raze that building, I hope someone chips that granite cornerstone out of it. I'd love to have it for the broadcast museum in Kilgore.
