Sign On Radio: Slashed

.... April 14 most programming will be gone ... developing. :'(

Well that just stinks. I didnt listen often but when I did I heard some pretty good people enjoying what they were doing. How much longer before the UT puts the Mission Valley office building up for sale and declares BK?

Not surprising it failed: they were trying to do 1970's AM radio on the web radio: heck that kind of radio barely works when you have a transmitter that can beam a signal to everyone in cars and at home and work, let alone just via computers.

I just tuned in and they have Charlie and Harrigan (or Charlie anyway) doing an interview with someone about taxes, capital gains, etc.

???????????????????????????

They'd probably do much better playing bits from old C&H airchecks, which would at least provide something that is not available on over-the-air-radio, which is full of lame financial programs and interviews.

Charlie and Harrigan were not in studio. The best bet was Ken Copper and Clark Anthony; and Dave Mason's morning report. That is the shining example how it's done well.

Yes, Bob, C&H today (Monday) wasn't on the mark.

Personally, I don't think the reason why SignonSanDiego radio failed has anything to do with content. I think it has more to do with the idea that people are creatures of habit and still mostly get their radio the old fashioned way: with an antenna, and a tuner.

With all due respect...
