Sign the KSJL petition

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/KSJL/index.html

570 signatures seems like nothing in this city but there are people who are voicing their opinions about this now former station. DOn't give me any crap about "oh there's only 5% Afican American population" (Philly has Rumbia 104.5 and they have a very small hispanic population) or that "San Antonio can't support R&B (I know lots of hispanics who can't stand hip hop or spanish music)" BULLSH**!
We have more than enough spanish stations, classic rock, AC, "old school" and hip hop. Don't tell me we can't fit in ONE R&B station.

If they could sell the station, they would keep it.

Not enough listeners = not enough ratings = not enough revenue.

the petition wont mean anything. Last time I checked we were in a capitalist society.

Your on the right track...just about 150,000 more signatures to go..or more! (roughly speaking). Now, you will need to get MAJOR local media out of it and posibly a tribute website up and running (along the lines of y100/Philadelphia for when they took away the markets ONLY alternative station...which by the way...4 yrs later, and all of that footwork only got the station to re-launch on the web for a webstream, not on fm, nor even am)

Get ready to dive WAY into your trek to bringing R & B on FM in SA. Maybe write up a good proposal and convince a company in town to launch one after all this footwork is done.

I do respect your drive though :) We need more passionate people.

But ultimately the following statement holds true..its reality: "Not enough listeners = not enough ratings = not enough revenue."

Clear Channel doesn't have control of that frequency anymore. They were only renting it and they gave it up from lack of ratings.
