signal boosters, repeaters......

So how powerful are these mini transmitters???

In the case of 94.5 the vibe on sunrise mountain... it's not that powerful...

FCC website doesn't state watt output.

FYI: radio-locator.com states main trans. power at 93,000 watts.... where did they get this info... FCC site doesn't state anything about this????

I hope the guy from Lotus engineering can help with this tidbit. PM if needed. Thanks.:)

Boosters and translators can range a great deal in power based upon justification. Some are as low as 10 watts, others, like the KVEG on Black Mt. Henderson run 20,000 watts. The one cited as Sunrise Mt. (Actually Sunrise Manor) shows it actually up on the highway 15 outside of the Apex exit. I have a RPU relay on Sunrise Mt. and the coordinates are not close at all. Last I heard there were no broadcast stations on Sunrise Mt., but that could change at any time. The stations on 94.5 in NV range from as little as 17 watts to 93 KW in theory, but that's the Moapa station's license for the station being boosted by the Sunrise Manor booster. They have an application to REDUCE that power to 265 watts I would guess so it does not interfere with the Sunrise Manor booster. Kind of the back asswards logic that sometimes works with the FCC. I'd guess the Sunrise manor will be the "real" station with the Moapa just justifying the booster. Bill C. the Chief E>
