Owners don't want to hear it, but having an aux site these days is more critical than ever. "Back in the day" you could just let the RF blow and go with people right up in the energy field. If they started getting burned or didn't like the tingling the were getting, the power could be cut in half, if you wanted to be "nice". These days, as the other poster indicated, there are pretty strict rules on how much you can radiate someone with RF. It's pretty restrictive too. So, in the world of cheap owners, we have more need than we used to for having a way to keep stuff on the air with a useful signal while work is being done. The best option, and the most expensive of course, is to have something off-site that at least covers the entire survey area.
