How is the reception of 97.7 WCTY (country), 98.7 The Sound WNLC (classic hits), 100.9 Kool 101 WKNL (oldies), Soft Rock 106.5 WBMW (AC) and Jammin 107.7 WWRX (hip-hop) on the east end of Long Island and how far west do they go?<P ID="signature">______________
Moe: (Sees a microphone in a radio studio) Ooh, a microphonie!

Curly: Or a phoney at the mike!

Moe: Quiet numbskulls I'm broadcastin'!

At the Orient Point Ferry, reception is decent. WALK is strong next to WCTY as soon as you drive west from there, and WBON at 98.5 does cut in on WNLC a few miles in. WKNL doesn't have a local signal next to it and WBMW has 6000 watts, so they carry better all the way down the North Fork. WWRX is better than they used to be with increased tower height, but their stick is up near Foxwoods and WEBE is 50KW at 107.9.
