Or it's possible Mt. Pisgah has the highest TV tower.

What are the dates on WBIR? I thought WECT's tower near Wilmington (torn down when the digital signal got a new tower closer to the city) was the world's tallest.

Wouldn't matter when talking about radio and WKSF. WBIR-TV was 1963. Only a few months later, a taller stick went up elsewhere. Despite the height, there were some signal issues. They moved WBIR-TV back to Sharp's Ridge. WBIR-FM remained. Those calls were later changed to today's WIMZ.

That is precisely the reason why I never applied for a job there when I first moved here. That hill is way too steep for me.
