The recent attempt by Cox to improve the Atlanta market signal for 104.1fm has just been approved by the FCC. The move will move the WALR transmitter to the WHTA tower north of Peachtree City.WALR will also become licensed to Palmetto and downgrade to C1 status. Since Greenville still needs a radio station to make up for WALR leaving, Manchester's 93.3 WVFJ will be moving to Greenville. 93.3 will be upping its power by 11kw from its current site with its upgrade to CO. More people will get a good signal for both changes once the signal modifications happen.
