According to reliable sources, Radio-One is selling off 8 stations that are currnetly owned. These stations do not reflect its own listeners, As they will center on these formats targeted by African-Americans; Hip-Hop/Rap, Old School R&B, Urban AC, Smooth Jazz, & Gospel. KROI is one of those stations Radio-One is selling. There could speculations that it will go to Liberman, The fastest-growing Hispanic Broadcaster. It will sell off Non African-American Targeted stations in Dayton, OH & Louisville to COX; It will sell off Indy's Triple H 96.3 (WHHH)to either Cumulus or Emmis; and WAEG (106.7-The Eagle)in Augusta, GA will end up going to CC.That's my own take of what's going on-As we speak.

Wonder what station Liberman would dump in order to acquire KROI? By most reckoning, they are at the market limit, although there is some argument about whether 103.3 counts, which I think it would.

Perhaps KEYH 850 gets a better simulcast partner to replace out-of-market 101.7? Or would they put Radio Ranchito (1230) on 92.1 ?

Of course RO will probably go with the highest bidder, which could include Infinity, Cox, or Cumulus. 92.1 would be a better place for either KFNC or KIOL.
