Sileo Inks Extension With Clear Channel
CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WFLF-A (540 WFLA)/ORLANDO and Sports WDAE-A (THE SPORTS ANIMAL)/TAMPA morning host DAN SILEO inks a multi-year extension to stay with the stations.

this is amazing to me. this guy is awful, just because he was on a couple practice squads and as a pretty good college player, he gets a talk show? have the cc bigwigs ever listened to his show? has sileo ever heard of show prep? the other day when TS Fay was swirling around the state, he was calling it a hurricane.......check your facts for pete sakes. Even the guys on WDAE make fun of this guy....the other morning he said the rays should sit bj upton for the rest of the year because of his recent lack of hustle....the WDAE update guy made fun of the comment as sileo went out of his break into a sports attack....

former sentinel magic beat writer tim povtak is looking for work, put him on the air. he does his homework and knows what he is talking about. this guy does not. And worse yet, he's a yankees homer......ship him to new york cc cluster, i will help pay his way......

As I mentioned in a previous post, this is a great example of "who you know" keeping somebody employed. The fact he works cheap doesn't hurt either.

By the way, a round of applause to Ron & Ian for cheering the death of a man who died of pancreatic cancer (Gene Upshaw). Very classy. I never thought the bar could be lowered at DAE yet they somehow found a way.

Perhaps Silly-O was prescient when he once used the phrase "a remedy for disaster," (as opposed to a *recipe*). Maybe he was referring to himself...
Sports Talk is usually salt-of-the-earth, regular-guy level blather about games where balls (or cars) fly through the air. That's why people like Chris Thomas are such a pleasant surprise with their erudition. And Sileo such a disappointment in their stupidity.
 
You got it. This is no better example of who ya know and having the right people like you. Plus he's somehow pulling good numbers on 540. Unfortunately, WDAE just has to bend over and take it. Sorry Tampa Bay.

He has to have pictures.
I think Shot Doctor would be better doing Morning drive Time solo rather than this clown.
