SImon Says?

Anyone care to give any info concerning the Greensboro market, the station in general, housing costs, cost of living, quality of living. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hopefully, you're asking about Simon? The station sounds ok. The market is ok. The housing and cost of living is cheap. Are you moving here?

I'd be wary of any "Jack/Simon" type format if you are gonna move a good ways. Radio's unstable by nature, but even moreso with the flavor of the month format. Especially on the 98.7 frequency. They've been known to pull plugs every couple years there. Greensboro/Winston Salem itself isn't bad at all. Certainly not New York City....but plenty to do and a good quality of life. Mountains close, beach close, city living, country living...all in one spot depends on your preference. Winston has a more artsy, laid back hippie feel....Greensboro is on the move with the new ballpark downtown and a big push to grow down there. For the thousands of college kids in the Triad, there's not much of a college scene. Raleigh and Charlotte are close drives for shows and stuff that miss the Triad.

Seems unlikely given that Simon is Top 4 both 25-54 and 18-34. Why is the current PD leaving anyway?
