Sin City Radio Live - We Support Underground Artists

Why is it that none of the local stations except Power 88.1 support local artists? In almost every city around the country, the locals get support from the stations.

Here in Vegas, they don't support it at all. Our only choice is to start our own Internet broadcasts such as Sin City Radio Live to get our music out.

Locals should boycott KLUC and KVEG until they start playing more local music. They don't support us, so why should we support them?

When internet radio streams to cars, they will start to care really quick...

...however until then. Not so much.

I guess you don't listen to Laurie Steele's homegrown show on Sunday evenings on KOMP, 92.3.

He asked "Why is it that none of the local stations except Power 88.1 support local artists? In almost every city around the country, the locals get support from the stations"
I answerded that KOMP did support local talent. Sorry to hear that your raido only has those two channels. The rest of us tune around. Even as a Lotus employee, I listen to a lot of other stations and not entirely for competitive comparisons.

hey bilco...

believe it or not i have several presets...however if you keep reading along with the original post, he writes:

say you're sorry, bilco. say you're sorry, and you'll be more attentive next time.

I won't say I'm, sorry, because I was responding to his first line. The two stations you mention don't come up until the end of the original post and then you seem to make the assumption that those are the only stations to listen to that might carry local original music, when in fact I poited out KOMP already does, thus answering the question asked in the first 3/4th of the post. I work for Lotus and have no idea why those other stations program what they do or, why, but know we have a firm commitment to the local talent.
If the first line has meaning then listening to other srations would answer his question. Look for an apology from someone else.

Or, as someone once told me "The only way you'll find sympathy from me is in the dictionary between s*** and syphillis"

bilco:

if you only read the first line of everything, then i just wanted to let you know that darth vader ends up being skywalker's father, "the secret" is the power of attraction, and...oh yes...the post was referencing Power 88.1 as the only local station to play local music, later saying to boycott VEG and LUC.

Now...Power, VEG, LUC...they are all urban stations. KOMP = not an urban station.

Although, I don't understand why I'm still typing...you only read the first line of things. :-D
