Do you think cumulus will replace him or just end the show? 790 KABC can't seem to catch a break in that time slot.

Bout the only thing they have longevity with at that station is John Phillips. But they have always moved him around over the years alot. Be interesting to see what happens. What's everyone's opinion?
 
Cumulus/Westwood One will definitely replace Bongino. They have to provide some kind of programming to stations like WLS and KABC (and many others) that air the show and do not have any way to backfill the hours locally.

My opinion? I am in their target demo and I don't even listen. They need much more than a break.
 
When our local Cumulus talker stopped airing the posthumous Best of Rush, before Bongino debuted, they expanded their existing local lineup to cover the 3 hours. Wish they'd do that again. How big of a bench of right-wing hosts is even out there?

KABC already had their break decades ago. I remember hearing them in the Bay Area at night when I was a kid in the 70s. Doesn't Cumulus own that slot nationally? I'm guessing a new national show would surface since it affects a number of stations. I'm not sure what Cumulus makes on a national conservative show airing mostly on AM stations.
 
Why not just give John Phillips the Bongino slot? Seems like a win-win: it gives him something to do and it gives Westwood One cheap filler programming they can pipe down the network line.

Yes. But then, at the beginning of this year, I thought the company would also replace the following three hours. Ben Shapiro gave up his one-hour show at 3 p.m. ET. Since he was leaving, Cumulus - Westwood One also discontinued Michael Knowles at 4 p.m. and Matt Walsh at 5 p.m. That time slot has not gotten a new show.

Bongino always seemed to have ADHD to me. The frequent obscure 80's movies references, excitedly yelling at his off-site producer (Jim! Jim!) and the occasional crying on-air was more than I could stand.
