Since I'm not in the business, I hope someone can explain this..

The February PPMs came out yesterday, and I noticed that WLOK got a 6.1 AQH%, yet their cume was a measly 73,300.

So how can they get that high a rating with so few listeners? I'll hang up and listen!

I guess the simple answer is that the time spent listening was off the charts.

If someone listens to a station for five minutes of a quarter hour, the station gets one cume and one quarter hour. But if someone listens to a station for three hours in the same daypart, the station still just gets one cume, but 12 quarter hours.
