Since there's no Cookeville board...

I have thoughts on some of the "plateau's" stations:

Outside of Kidd Kraddick, Magic 98.5 sounds like the 107.5 The River's "farm team"...The Freak Show is the only thing holding that station above water...

I like the fact Kix 106.9 has gone back to Hot AC after that terrible Rhythmic CHR/Rhythmic AC experiment, and I like the new "off the bird" show they've just picked up for nights...Kim Iverson even sounds hotter than Delilah!

The 780/1400 swap has worked out good so far...Rush is relegated to a weaker signal so I don't have to hear him twice as I'm flipping through the AM dial in Lebanon...

"B-ROCK 9-3-7" thinks they're "Project 9-6-1" out of Atlanta, just listen to the liners and the music...

Lite Rock 95.9 might as well go off the computer until Delilah every day because the jocks sound like they're mailing it in...

And finally...our good friends at the "Country Giant" need to take a page out of WSIX's book and get a new morning show..."Gator" needs to be wrestled away from the mic, stat!

So what do you guys think?

Gator was wrestled away from the mic several months ago. He's in Chattanooga now. My understanding is that Gator was the backbone of the station and definitely the entire morning show. I like Stykman a lot on a personal level, and he's a great guy, but has been struggling since Gator left.

So...beyond that which comes out of the speakers, what else in new in Cookie-town?

How's that LMA working out at the JWC stations (Lite Rock, B-Rock, etc)? I saw where they're looking for sales people (who isn't) but have been left with the distinct impression that they're not interested in ANY programming people of any kind. That either means: a) they have it all figured out, b) they're likely to slice & dice just like the big suits or c) they have it all figured out. I wonder which it is.

BTW, what's up at the former Clear Channel properties? Do the consultants really have THAT much to say about it? Amazing.

I used to listen to McFly and the ride home all the time on 94.7. I didn't listen when McFly moved to KDF simply because of his co-host, but now she's gone so I listen here and there. Is that Stu, Marty's old Giant buddy on there with him now? I want to listen, but I have to admit I'm hooked on Billy and Karla. They're knocking it out of the park on 98.
