Since when is the same old crap on 102.7 deserving of the 'NEW' name?

I was driving with my mother to a birthday event, and she had on 102.7. The changed tagline was either, Fresh 102.7 or New 102.7.

They bill it as all Fresh songs that the other stations don't play. I listened to it for 30 minutes and what was on it? Surprise! Same old crap that has been on every other station for the last 3 years and counting. Could the crew at 102.7 be so behind the times they think this dull old stuff is new?

The reason none of the current artists stay around long, is because of the following -

1- Their songs get so overplayed, I don't listen to normal radio anymore and am enjoying XM Radio because of it.

2 - No one does rock songs anymore! There's one good one that PLJ usually plays on their Friday show....it has an 'army callout' part to it, but I can't remember it's name. All the songs you hear now are either sappy, or about 'happy' subjects like drugs and suicide ... that 'suicide and hate' song comes to mind as annoying...

Anyone know why the change over from a disco-ish station to this dull stuff?

Using fake Jewish accent: You were expecting, maybe,, fresh, fresh costs extra.

I've heard the station alot over the last two weeks in my travels around town, one fact is clear; "fresh" is another station regurgitating the essentially the same pool of tested-safe songs with slight emphasis on more recent material.

With this station we are back to the early-mid nineties when Mix-105 and Lite battled.

You can go further back and cite the old WYNY from the early 80s although that station was more oldies based.

The main "feature" of "fresh" is mostly a lack of personality hosts, and the annoying little "fresh" chorus. The station even more than it's predecessors is really narrowcast to women.

(FRESH 102.7) WWFS IS A STATION LIKE THE AC STATION (THE BUZZ) EXISTING IN A CROWDED FIELD OF STATIONS GOING AFTER THE SAME DEMO WITH THE SAME MUSIC MIX.

NEW YORK HASN'T SUPPORTED THREE AC STATIONS; ONE IS GOING TO FAIL. WLTW HAS HAD UNLIMITED SUCCESS AND WPLJ HAS FAIRED WELL. IS FRESH 102.7 GOING TO DO BETTER THAN MEDIOCRE RATINGS?
