Sincerest Condolences

To Sandy Beach on loss of his wife, who succumbed yesterday after a long battle with cancer.

As any of you know, Sandy is an old old friend (I met him years before I even got into the biz) and I can tell you that after a first marriage that didn't end so well, he was over-the-top in love with Cindy...and she with him.

I'm so sorry hear of his loss. Though not a regular listener even in his top 40 days at KB I have often enjoyed airchecks that others have made of Sandy Beach. He never failed to make me laugh out loud or at least smile. His bit with Joey Reynolds on a reunion show they did on WGR is a classic. With a single line, just eight words he destroyed Reynolds live on the air. It took Joey a long time to recover.

Sandy I hope your many friends and fans can be a comfort to you in this difficult time.

Allow me to add my condolences as well to the Beach family. I lost both parents and grandmother to cancer. But there is comfort in knowing they are no longer suffering and in a much better place.

So sorry to hear about Sandy's loss and Cindy's passing...it's clear from the News account that Cindy was a great lady and a very courageous and caring woman.

He has all our prayers and good wishes. Had the pleasure of working under, and learning from, Sandy during a brief late '70s stint at KB, and can tell you he was, and still is, one of the best.

To Sandy & family: our thoughts and prayers are with you, from an old co-worker (however briefly) down the Thruway.

Truly a very sad story. The Buffalo News obituary portrays Cindy as a very noble and courageous person. Our thoughts and goodwill are with Sandy and Cindy's family.
