Sinclair Names GMs In Greensboro, New Bern

Matt Bowman is going to WCTI and WYDO

Allison Aldridge is heading to WXLV-WMYV

Sinclair Broadcast Group on Wednesday named new general managers in two markets.

Matt Bowman has been named GM of ABC affiliate of WCTI New Bern-Greenville-Jacksonville, N.C. (DMA 100). He will also be responsible for the oversight of Sinclair’s provision of services to WYDO (Fox) under a joint sale agreement.

Bowman has been GM at Sinclair’s WXLV (ABC) and WMYV (MNT) Greensboro-Winston Salem, N.C. (DMA 48) for nearly two years. Prior to that he was director of sales at WCYB-WEMT Tri-Cities, Tenn.-Va. He first joined Sinclair in July 2011, as director of sales in Greensboro, a position he held for more than four years.

Bowman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Bowman is being succeeded as GM of WXLV-WMYV by Allison Aldridge.

She is being promoted from the stations’ director of sales, a post she’s held since the beginning of 2016. Prior to that she had been GM at WACH Columbia, S.C., for more than two years; at WTGS Savannah, Ga., for one year; and at WTAT-WMMP Charleston, S.C., for two years.

Aldridge joined Sinclair in 2004 as a sales account executive at WTAT-WMMP Charleston, S.C.
