Singer, actor Harry Belafonte

One of my very earliest childhood memories is listening to the Belafonte album my parents had, which was his second release. This would have been the late 1950s. The album included a very touching early cover of Unchained Melody, many years before the Righteous Brothers more famous version. I also liked the jazzy Trouble.

R.I.P. Harry, and thank you.

Another music icon has left us......
Allow me to bid Harry a "Jamaica Farewell".....
R.I.P.
On the video for "USA For Africa" ("We Are the World")....the entire group spontaneously broke into "Day-O" when Mr. B. walked into Kenny Roger's studio....a true musical "moment"!!:)
