Well - when you're hot, you're hot - when you're not, you're not.

Sorry - no disrespect intended. I couldn't resist.

RIP, Jerry

He was on two episodes of Alice, one with Flo and one with Belle and he was also Leonard Oates, Naomi's ex-husband on Mama's Family

One of the great guitar pickers ...ever...a friendly guy, down home. Great country/novelty stuff was his mark.

at 49 I'm feelin a bit old when I see folks I watched..and listened to (Mr LaFontaine) passing on.

Thanks to both for the entertainment!

I like to think that Jerry Reed would have appreciated the humor. :)

30+ years ago I met Jerry Reed at a concert he was giving at a park. He had 2 shows and each show was "hosted" by a different radio station. I was the host for our station. I got to spend a half hour sitting in his bus chatting with him before the show. It was just me & him. We talked about many different things. While we talked, he sort of absent-mindedly picked a banjo. He was one of the nicest, most down to earth people I ever met. God Bless Him..may he rest in peace.
