Sirius 66 - The Beat

Like your opinions on this station if you listen. It's day 8 of my Sirius addiction and I'm sort of divided on it.

The overall sound is pretty decent, and I don't mind the imaging, just it seems to miss alot. It's busy playing Reina - Forgive or *ugh* Mariah Carey remixed, but I never hear it playing alot of other dance I like. In fact, it seems their back catologue isn't really that deep, considering that it's a music system developed to appeal to the fan.

Nonetheless, it's strengths outweight the weaknesses and it's a good listen. I wish Sirius only success. It's been along time since I wanted to just go drive around to listen to the radio. A long time.

The Beat is programmed in a very "inside the box" manner, trying to appeal to a broad demographic with music as familiar as possible. In terms of music, BPM on XM is much, much more diversified and plays great pure dance tracks not heard on any Sirius channel. In terms of station elements, the Beat sounds more like a real radio station including a nightly countdown.
