Sirius HIP HOP NATION SOUND QUALITY fell down the crapper

Since the Heat Sucks,, this is the only Urban station I can tune into to hear real hip hop,, and it sounds now like a 20k real player stream... It has no highs and its distorted... flip from Hip Hop nation up to The Heat and you will hear the difference... The Heat did play the Urban Dance version of Chris Brown-Yeah last night,,, but they counter themselves by playing the slow Urban AC version of Birthday Sex,, I dont know of any rhythmic that played the non UP TEMPO version of this song when it was new.

I guess im stuck with the dance channels and Hits One and The Heat,,, which sucks... as of now.. The Heat needs to go back to a Party Station format, instead of just playing the softer stuff that Hip Hop nation wont touch.....

MEL...Quit f........ing up your SQ on my fav Channels.. a few weeks ago it was BPM that was all buggered up.

Some songs sound ok,, its like they are playing bad LQ mp3s.

I guess ill give The Heat another chance,, they did play ghost town-DJS MY BOO which was an oh wow on this station,, but if I hear Stand there and watch me burn one more time,,, im gonna tie myself to the bed and light this house on fire.... ;)

I personally don't care too much for The Heat. They do play some decent stuff but their focus is heavily on slower R&B. The urban in my local market is the same way so I pretty much have to settle for KISS-XM, which is a CHR with a rhythmic tilt. I am beginning to think the "Party Station" variety of rhythmic is becoming a thing of the past. When its a format you can't even find on satellite radio I think thats a telling sign. Maybe its because other than not playing rock and teen pop, there is no longer really a difference from Top 40 CHR?

And I think I bought the wrong service,, I should have gotten XM.

XM does have more variety because of the Clear Channel XM exclusive channels, but when it comes to hip-hop and dance, the only addition that you would get is Kiss-XM. I would say 20 on 20 also, but its more or less a simulcast of Sirius Hits 1 these days.

Seems like the Heat is a blend on Rhythmic and Urban AC Hip-Hop is almost non existant on the Heat now under Sirius XM. It was ALOT better when it was Just XMs. Straight up Rhythmic with almost no R&B.

They still play the lighter R&B and just a tab bit of Urban Dance,, but only by artists like Rhianna-only girl,, and Chris Brown-Yeahx3,,, I would say its more of an R&B rhythmic AC, its still way too much hip hop and Dance to be Urban AC,,,, Heart and Soul is the Urban AC channel,, They could almost be considered an R&B friendly Mainstream Urban as well,, like 103 in K.C...

I sure wish I had an XM compatible radio so I could get this channel,, I hear its alot more Hip Hop, Rhythmic and Dance friendly than Hits One,, which is what I have,, and they play very little Hip Hop and have an ADULT ALTERNATIVE lean. Its like Star 94.1 Atlanta.
