Unfortunately, XM still has more listeners overall, they're just spread over a greater number of channels than Sirius' listeners are.

Sirius has the more popular stations, but more people subscribe to (and listen to) XM.

Thats because they havent heard the better sound quality sirius has and BETTER channels! :) ;)
 
Actually, if you add the Sirius USA 8.7 million subs to the 600,000 Canadian Sirius subs and match them against XM's USA 9.1 million and XM's 300,000 Canadian subs, you come with #s very close to one another. Sirius growth rate has been more than double that of XM's in the last 2.5 years. If it continues as such, Sirius will pass XM soon this year.
