SIRIUS OFF

I''ve been getting'Aquring Signal on My Sirius Boom box since about 8:30am Saturday 6/6/09.as I write this its about 12noon,
still no signal, I live in Northeastern Pennsylvania,I called a friend of mine who lives in a rural area,he has a signal.
I live in the city. Called tech support but was on hold for over five minutes, and hung up. anyone else have this problem today??

Check your antenna connection. Often that is the problem. Jiggle it. Take it out and put it in. Make sure antenna on roof is okay too.

I also live in nepa.I had a problem last night but that worked itself out this morning.Couldn't get a signal with my boombox but when i went around the yard i got finally one bar and no more aq signal.

I've been having this problem since yesterday. My antenna has been in the same position for two years without a single drop out, and yesterday it started coming and going since around 3pm central. Even tried it in the car and it was doing the same thing. It seems back to normal this morning, only dropped out once.

Terrestrial repeater outages due to inclement weather is my guess.

If you have a signal indicator selection on your menu it may show the terrestrial and satellite signals separately. I have a starmate rewind and I can tell you that the TER is almost always 6 to full and the SAT is almost always 3 (was 6 at one point)-I need a new antenna. I just tossed that fold-up one on my roof.

Thanks for all your replies,I was on with Sirius tech support three different times, they seem to think its an antenna issue..
Like Bama Wolf my antenna has been in the same position for over three years.
Well, after trying several different things,I finally ordered a whole new radio,if you have to deal with Sirius over the phone,
all I have to say is good luck!!
I hope I get what I ordered, and hope that I just have to reactivate the new radio when it does come.
I don't know how much longer I could last without Jay Thomas,Howard, and all the great ,music channells!!

I'm down in Florida and every time it rains my radio goes out. I have no Sat signal and only one bar for Ter signal.
I'm going to get a new antenna today and see if that works. I've not been impressed lately with Sirius and after
30 minutes with tech support finally got them to drop my autorenew. Whatta pain that was!
