Sirius Radio on 103.1

Somebody has a hell of a powerful transmitter. Last Night someone was Transmitting their Sirius Radio signal on 103.1 and I received the signal while driving from Warwick to East Providence until I finally shut my Radio off. It was as Powerful as anything else on the dial. I found it strange because I also transmit my Sirius radio signal on 103.1. However I only transmit it to the rest of my apartment and not to half the freaking State!

I'm lucky enough to occasionally get my signal out in the parking lot. As a matter of fact I think that's about as far as I can legally transmit. But there is no doubt that what this guy was doing was illegal. I'm curious as to how many Watts of power he was cranking out. The signal was crsytal clear for my entire ride.

This person is broadcasting from East Providence, I do believe. I'm not sure how much power he's running ...

Oh... So YOU know the guy? A-HA! It is YOU... isn't it??? LOL. I got home and changed the frequency I transmit on to 102.9. I didn't want that dude to interfere with my Howard Stern broadcasts. lol . He was broadcasting the Jazz Channel.

No, it's not me... but I know someone that knows where 103.1 is...

wait so someone is running an illegal repeater broadcasting satellite radio? lame! I heard that the FCC was trying to crackdown on existing "legal" repeaters for satellite for boosting their signals too high...

Yeah.... and the guy isn't even Broadcasting a Good Sirius station! You would think he would broadcast Howard Stern or The Stars Channel. But this guy picked the "Old style Jazz and Blues Channel" to illegally broadcast. LOL

Yes I heard the same thing. There appears to be two repeaters in Rhode Island. I don't know if they decreased power on either one. I just got Sirius radio a couple of weeks ago. I get a decent signal both from Satellite and Terrestrial repeaters.

I have it set up in my house and not the car. I just needed to find the best place for the antenna. I experimented for about a week placing the antenna EVERYWHERE! Suprisingly placing the antenna in the Window didn't give me the best signal. However placing the antenna on my TV did! I finally get full Signal Bars on Terrestrial and decent Signal bars on satellite. So I now pick up both signals well enough where I get no drop outs and never lose the signal at all.

This is such [EDIT], if I didn't believe in karma I would totally report those guys. Maybe now that I don't need to know morse code I'll get a HAM cert and track this man down ahahah
