Yep Satelite radio is the only way to go, when it comes to staying current with todays dance music, while on the go. You cant go wrong with REMIX Sirius 62 either, aside from repetition, they do air hot Mixshows from World Class Djs, and a couple of Quality Regional mixshows, usually NEW YORK style mixing, but with some European, and South florida Falvor as well.

Well, I read an article a while back that Sirius and XM had spoken and discuss the potential of creating a Satellite iPod. It would have receiving and recording capabilities.

Man, this stuff is like crack dood. It's addictive. Not just dance either. I just heard OMD - Locomotion on the radio. Last time I heard that song, I think i was 19.

Damn, I thought I was the only one who even knew about that song. I have it on an OMD Greatest Hits CD :)

Really I'm kinda sorta kidding about the MikeO thing. But hey, you can't blame for for calling the dood Eric PRIDEZ, instead of Pridz (as in kids). Blame Scott Mills on BBC> :?)

~now in a state of xtc with Sirius radio~

Other favs...dance related

Depeche Mode - Question of Lust
Skinny Puppy - Dig It
Erasure - A Little
New Order (almost anything) but Love Vigilantes rulez
Smiths - Shoplifters of the World

I'll admit it - I love sappy 80s songs like "Seasons Change". Expose in general had a lot of songs I really enjoyed. "Come Go With Me", "Let Me Be The One", "What You Don't Know", "When I Looked At Him", and who could forget their 90s hit "I'll Never Get Over You Getting Over Me".

We better stop before I start confessing that I owned a bunch of Richard Marx tapes. Whoops, too late I guess.

CHRles,
We must have been twins separated at birth. I love all that music and grew up just glued to the radio just to hear any obscure song (usually dance). Z-92 in Lansing, MI ala 1988-89 came through for me many times! How 'bout Howard Hewitt "Strange Relationship"??? Nirada "Divine Emotion"??? Nia Peebles "Trouble"??? Pet Shop Boys, Front 242, Expose -- Major flashbacks!

(whispering here) - I still have an Expose CD, one of the first ones I ever bought. There, I said it. May late 80s dance live on somehow!

I went 1 step further man. I saw the guy in concert. I won the tickets from Mike McGowan on Kiss 98.5 in Buffalo. The show was outdoors, and I remember thinking how cool it was because you could drink at the place. I also got my car torn apart crossing back into Canada by the Border Nazi's. They didn't believe that my shaggy INXS look and Richard Marx went together. What's even more insane is they actually took a burger I had and broke it apart looking for drugs baked in the patty. *L*.

?? I never said that. ;) ...when you sending me your next air check?

When I was visiting at Ultra last year I asked how to pronounce his name - because I've heard it a couple of different ways... Phil told me Eric Prydz said his name 3 different ways in a single interview. Eric Prihdz, Prydz, Preedz. So there ya go. Looks like everyone settled on prihdz.

We called it Prydz for about a month.

Hey, even Radio 1 was calling him Pr"i"dz. So was Z103.5 in Toronto. And it looks like Pride or Pryde.

And u did correct me on iio. :). We're all guilty of saying it wrong.

Way back in the day, when Castles in the Sky was released, Z103.5 was calling Ian Van Dahl, Ivan Van Dahl. You can still find the MP3s labelled with that name. Dunno where that came from, but I figured they must know, so that's what I called IVD too :?).

OK, you didn't say suck. :).

My former PD used to say I was "a somewhat cynical individual with a touch of rebel". He also said I was really opinionated and that people would either hate me or love me :?). imagine. A few weeks ago a guy called me on the air and told me that listening to my show and it's crappy music made him want to drive off the highway and die in a fiery crash. :) LOL.

Needless to say, I'm very sure my opiniated nature are the reasons I'll never work in Hot AC, AC, Jazz, or any other format. Nor does the fact I voice my not so always positive points of view on FM radio.

Good thing there is computers :?)
