Sirius sound"cutting" since channel change

Has anyone noticed that the sound keeps cutting in and out. I noticed it in my car, thought maybee just kept loosing signal, but I noticed I had full signal the whole time. Couldnt figure it out till this morning when I was listening at home through Dish Network it was doing the same all morning on Classic Rewind.

It's you or should i say your radio. While your meter shows a signal it does not update fast enough to show the moments you lose it and the radio can't buffer. Sirius head end has not lost sound a you state. Clean antenna connection. Check it on roof.

It is not my radio, it is doing it on both our radios in both cars, and like I said, it is also doing it on Dish Network. Not this evening, everything is working fine, does not always break up, just lately has been worse.

I've noticed a lot of skipping on Hits1 and 20 on 20 (Channels 2 and 3) Not so much on 6, 7, 8 or 9. Not sure what's up. Sometimes getting a lot of digital noise (like a CD skipping) other times it is a quick drop out, or pops and clicks. Happening on 2 radios in 2 different cars since about Thursday

I have posted this question on another site, and gotten the same response also that the real jazz channel is doing the same on there radios too. It HAS to be Sirius, DISH only re-broadcasts what Sirius sends them, plus it is happening on both of my radios. It is real bad on the classic vinal channel. Turn it on and listen for about 5 or 10 minutes. It is not doing it on other channels, like fox news, or bpm.

some people are saying that sirius music keeps on cuttting out and skipping well i called sirius on that issue and the issue is on their end since they changed their channel line up 5-4-2011 they are having some problems with the new channels so when you hear hear the music skipping or the music stop once in a while that are the enginers trying to correct these issues please be patient sirius said they they are working out the bugs and the music should be back to normal very very soon according to sirius

Period and comma keys fall off or something?

I noticed the same thing starting right around the time of the channel change. It has not been as bad over the past couple of days but there was definitely "skipping" across all the channels I listen to regularly. I think the sound quality has also deteriorated since the change too if that is even possible.

Today BPM was cutting in and out, was in my car, and again, when I got home and turned it on DISH NETWORK, was doing it there too, thats how I knew it was not my car reciever.

Glad to see it isn't just me as well. I have had the problem for the last week now... on 3 different radios (Sirius Sportster 5, Audiovox XPressEZ (XM) on a boat and a factory Sirius unit in a '11 BMW). Luckily I had another radio to compare to before I began ripping apart the wiring on my docked stereos. I have heard these skips on a few of the stations this week and they are very annoying.

Came to this site via Google - and this isn't the only forum talking about it.

Can you tell us what other forms are talking about it? I was traveling from Lancaster PA, to Philly back and fourth tonight, BPM was sounding REALLY bad.

Did not even think to look at this topic, but my wife was having the same issues as you guys are describing... We have a Starmate 4 and whatever came with the update has bogged everything down... CC1

Yes skipping best describes it.
