Arbitron says their going to rate them now. May God Have Mercy On Terrestrial Radio's Soul. No one else will.

It will be interesting to read the spin when Arbiton comes back with zeros for both services, but I suppose you'll deny that reality as well!

So, very soon, we'll get a better understanding of whether XM and Sirius are the next big thing. And if the numbers are weak, the spinning machines will shift into over-drive and the hype will begin. For posters on this and other boards, more fuel for the fire and more big fun.

One suspects there may be a lot of disappointed suits at XM and Sirius if the numbers, especially in the major markets, aren't glowing because the problem then will not be so much with the advertising community as with the investment community. Prepare to hear the "growth and upside spin" from XM & Sirius. All things considered, the timing of this may not be in XM & Sirius' best interests, especially in Wall Street turns bearish.

Farid and Mel will be taking great interest (no doubt protecting their "assets.")

My guess is the Jack format will crash harder than XM and/or Sirius.
