SiriusXM Adds Platinum VIP Subscription Tier

SiriusXM has announced a new top-of-the-line subscription tier for its service.

Platinum VIP will cost $34.99 per month and feature all of the channels currently offered by the service, with the ability to activate on two cars, with two app logins, access to Nugs.net’s concert streaming service, VIP-level content exclusives and experiences, and priority customer service.

I have SiriusXM under Streaming Platinum but I'm not too crazy about this, yet.

We were surprised when we recently transferred our account from an XM receiver to a SiriusXM receiver and Howards 100 and 101 were included there and online. We know that online service mirrors radio service because we have always gotten either the Howard channels or PRX online consistent with what our active radio received.

We do not look forward to the day when "they" will charge extra for some new, expanded music channels.
In the early days, we paid an extra dollar extra each month for Playboy radio and then for Opie and Anthony, not because we listened to either, but because we felt that XM did not charge us enough for their great service, but now we just pay for radio transfers and enjoy our lifetime sub.

>>The company is concurrently rebranding its existing subscription packages with All Access becoming Platinum, Select to Music & Entertainment, Mostly Music to Music Showcase, Choice to Choose and Save, Premier Streaming to Streaming Platinum, and Essential Streaming to Streaming Music & Entertainment.<<

What are the sayings? Putting lipstick on a pig, polish a turd, it's still a turd, I prefer if it ain't broke don't fix it. IMHO changing the name of a service does not make me want to get it, or change over to a different one now. Someone needed to justify their job over there.

So you feel howard stern replays for months on end is service worthy of paying more than the assigned rate for? He isnt even doing live shows.

Not at all...
I don't listen to him and do not pay extra to hear him...
but the channels did pop in with my new radio.

They're not changing the name of the service. It's a different service. If it doesn't appeal, you can stick with what you have now.

I have Music and Entertainment but I just noticed I am able to stream NFL Radio 88. Did they expand that channel into a lower tier? Used to be you had to have Platinum/All-Access to get 88. If so, I'll be very happy come football season.
