SiriusXM Airs White House Coronavirus Task Force Briefings

https://news.****************/artic...-White-House-Coronavirus-Task-Force-Briefings

At this point Cable News on TV, National News Apps and SiriusXM are the main places to watch the White House Press Conference over COVID-19 if one is really that interested. Remember local TV and radio at this point are pre-empting the White House because of Governors and Mayors having their press conference over shelter in place orders and local COVID-19 reports of deaths and positive test updates.

SiriusXM has announced that the daily press briefings from The White House Coronavirus Task Force will now be available On Demand via SiriusXM's streaming platform and app under channel 121, as well as under the "Podcasts" section on Pandora. SiriusXM will now offer this service enabling listeners to hear the latest updates from President Trump, Vice President Pence and the White House's Coronavirus Task Force.

Interesting that Sirius isn't pre-empting whatever's on the POTUS channel. Seems like it's the most appropriate place. Even conservative talk stations are hesitant to pre-empt their regular talk shows for the briefing. Stations that carry Hannity live would have to pre-empt him for the briefing. Wonder how he feels about that.

SiriusXM is promoting Channel 121 as their CoronaVirus Central. They've been carrying mostly virus-related programming from the Doctor Radio channel (110), which features personnel from NYU Langone Medical Center. The virus-related content is advertised as accessible by the general public, with Channel 121 supposedly available on deactivated satellite radios.
