SiriusXM Approaching Subscriber Milestone

Considering the number they were selling to Wall Street back in 2004 or so was 40 million (20 million for each company) by 2010, I see no real reason to celebrate. Satellite radio is even more of a fringe, niche medium that its originators ever thought. I'm glad it survived, but this number may be as good as it gets, especially with in-car Internet radio looming, at least in well-populated areas.

We wonder how the two nets compare.
Before the merger, we always cheered our service on.
Now, it matters not (but we do make a point of listening to The Village and Cinemagic).

They should have required an HD radio to be included with every satellite radio. Then there might have been more HD listeners.
