Sirus Deletes Folktown

Sirius has deleted a whole Genre of music on "Folktown" and replaced it with "Coffehouse" (huh?) the lamest station yet. Today in 1/2 hour they played Coldplay,Counting Crows,Nora Jones,REM,Bob Marley etc. What about this is Acoustic-Singer Songwriter music? Most of it is the lame AOR Soft Rock they feature on so many other channels.
Basically they are now without 2 MORE Genres of Music: Alt Country, and Folk.
Folktown was why I subscribed to Sirius and I am pissed!
This station is more and more no different than any other cookie cutter mainstream station.

hey, i feel for ya, some of MY fav channles arew now gone as well!!
REMIX was channel 62, NOW GONE!!! Argh!!
SPA 73 (formally JAZZ LIGHT) I think..havnt looked at the channel guide lately..

I hate the new channles , ticks me off,

but I have my subscribtion untill the summer of 2006, I'm not gunna cancel it right before Stern comes, i wanna hear what he has to say lol!!

Are all the changes because they need more spectrum space for the Stern channels? I'll miss Folktown - it was something special. Seems like whenever I love a channel, it is deleted.

Folktown, Swing Street, Acoustic Rock, Vista.

Since they can't tell how many people are listening to each channel, how are the decisions made?

They do their own phone call and email surveys to determine what channels are popular. They take those results, measure webpage hits, and sometimes have retailers survey customers. Sirius doesn't spin a wheel or throw a dart to determine what channels are being deleted.

i havn't gotten ONE EMAIL or ONE PHONE CALL about the surveys :(
i guess they don't know im out here LOL!!
