I'm a little surprised they managed to get several national networks but couldn't get a full time NBC or ABC station (unless there were no network affiliates on satellite in 1983). Also a little surprised at no CBC

I assume that is what 8 Alaska Satellite TV Project was
Now its called ARCS (Alaska Rural Communication Service (formerly RATNET Rural Alaska Television Network) which is a mix of networks on one channel. Back until 2021 it was a true mix of all the networks. Now its mainly CBS & NBC with FOX for football and ABC for Alaska Daily

Here is an example of a schedule in 2020 and one from 2018 (before they started upgrading the transmitters to digital to support PBS on a subchannel).
