Six TV Stations Airing Bears Games In 2010

Due to WLS/Channel 7's commitment to carrying a live edition of "Dancing With The Stars" on September 27, the ABC O&O - which normally carries ESPN "Monday Night Football" broadcasts when the Bears are involved - will be farming the game out to Weigel's WCIU/Channel 26.

This makes Channel 26 an unprecedented sixth local broadcast outlet carrying at least one Bears game in a single season (WGN/Channel 9 will simulcast an NFL Network Bears game).

This had to come from the Disney suits in LA. A Bears-Packers game is guaranteed to be the #1 (both in ratings and ad revenue) non-playoff football game for the season in Chicago. Disney is shooting itself in the foot here.
