Sizable power increase proposed for CILV 88.5 in Ottawa

Newcap has applied to increase the power at CILV 88.5 in Ottawa from 2,300 to 37,000 watts (12,000 to 90,000 watts maximum ERP). Antenna height will be lowered from 254.6 to 130.7 metres (EHAAT). The transmitter site will be relocated to the existing Rogers tower in Manotick,
 
I'm a fan of this increase. I used to be a heavy listener when they went on the air, so there's still a place in my heart for them. I feel I've "aged out" of the format though. This will probably help them more around the edges of town than in town.
