Has anyone successfully been able to start Adobe Audition each time the mic comes on and have it save the file as a unique file name each time the mic is turned off? Moden day air check skimmer is what I'm looking for...

Try the aircheck.exe program. www.zillenbiller.de . Just google search. It works off pins 10-11 to25 on the printer port to record. I just hooked one up. It works great and if all you wqnt is one day's recording its free too.

http://www.davee.com/scanrec/ for scanrec . Won't put everything in separate files but will only record when the mic is open if you give it only mic audio. It's free so worth the look.

If you want it to store more than one day at a time without writing over the old files then you have to pay 99. Otherwise it will record a day and keep writing over the old files. So, if all you want to do is make it a skimmer for most applications you can grab what files you want off the system at the end of the day or shift and move them off to another folder and nothing will be lost.

You could write a batch file to run daily to save the day's files elsewhere, before they're overwritten.
